SmartFinanceData ("we", "us", or "our") is a probabilistic market analytics platform operated from England, United Kingdom. We provide quantitative datasets, probability tools, and research content targeting retail traders across foreign exchange, indices, commodities, and cryptocurrency markets.

07 Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

  • Account data — retained for the duration of your account plus 2 years after closure
  • Payment records — retained for 7 years in accordance with HMRC requirements
  • Usage and analytics data — retained in anonymised or aggregated form for up to 26 months
  • Support communications — retained for 3 years from last contact
  • Marketing consent records — retained until consent is withdrawn, plus 1 year thereafter

When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised in accordance with our data disposal procedures.

09 International Data Transfers

Some of our third-party service providers are based outside the UK and European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK/EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

  • Transfers to the USA are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved under UK GDPR, or the provider's participation in an approved adequacy framework
  • We assess each international transfer against the ICO's Transfer Risk Assessment guidance
  • We do not transfer personal data to countries with inadequate data protection regimes without appropriate safeguards

10 Children's Privacy

SmartFinanceData is a professional financial data platform. Our services are not directed at, and are not intended for use by, individuals under the age of 18.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data without parental consent, please contact us immediately at privacy@smartfinancedata.com and we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
